Trinity Neighborhood Assistant


Trinity School is seeking a child care assistant for the Trinity Neighborhood after-school program. This is a part-time hourly position. The hours are from 12:30–5:00, M–F.

Responsibilities:

  • Serving as a role model of Christian faith and action; interacting with students, families, and staff in a manner consistent with biblical values
  • Supervising, caring for, and interacting with children enrolled in after-school programming in ways consistent with child development
  • Assisting the program director with daily preparation, instruction, and clean-up of materials and activities
  • Planning and executing safe and fun activities for the after-school participants which reflect the mission of Trinity School 
  • Carrying out duties requested by the program director in a prompt and responsible manner
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are implemented
  • Communicating with the Director of After School as questions or issues arise
  • Physically accompanying students across campus as needed
  • Facilitating safe pick-up procedures for after-school parents or guardians
  • Enforcing all Trinity School policies as outlined in the parent and student handbooks

Qualifications:

  • Experience or background caring for elementary students
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Calm demeanor and enjoyment of children
  • Ability to work with parents and teachers as needed
  • Understanding of and appreciation for Trinity’s distinct mission and culture
  • Personal Christian faith and subscription to Trinity’s doctrinal statement
