Trinity is a nondenominational Christian school that aspires to be a place where students learn that God is at the heart of all that we are and do, and that the chief purpose of our lives is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. Trinity's academic program is rooted in a classical interdisciplinary curriculum. At the core of Trinity's philosophy is the pacing of classroom learning to align with child development in ways that fit their natural inclination at each age.

Trinity is located in Durham, North Carolina on 22 acres bordered by trails, creeks, and forests. Trinity is a CSI and SAIS-accredited independent school where children flourish in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through grade 12. We educate within the framework of Christian faith and conviction–teaching the classical tools of learning; providing a rich yet unhurried education; and communicating truth, goodness, and beauty.

We understand that the search for the right school is a deeply personal and exciting experience. It’s a journey that inspires important conversations about educational goals, priorities, philosophies, and values that resonate on a personal level with you as a parent, with your child, and for your family. We have a passion for meeting future Lions and we stand ready to assist you throughout the application and enrollment process. We can’t wait to meet you!

Steps to Apply

Step 1

Register for events and campus tours.

The best way to learn more about becoming a Trinity Lion is to attend a Campus Tour and Information Session. Beginning in October, we invite you to join us as we launch a new season of campus tours. Families will have the opportunity to meet Trinity's division directors, teachers, parents, students, and the Enrollment Management staff. If none of the dates listed work for you, contact the Enrollment Management Office to arrange a personal tour.

Step 2

Complete application forms and checklists.

Once you have access to the admissions portal, you can log in and get started on your application for admission. By completing more detailed information such as your parent questionnaire, demographic profile, family relationships, and student questionnaire forms, you’ll help our Enrollment Management Team get to know you better. This is also the perfect time to pay your application fee, which is required prior to assessments, student shadow days, and testing.

Step 3

Schedule assessments, testing and interviews.

Students applying to grades TK–6 are invited to visit a Trinity classroom or attend a Saturday Morning Group Assessment. Middle and Upper School applicants are encouraged to spend a half-day shadowing a Student Ambassador to learn more about what it’s like to be a Trinity Lion! Our youngest students applying to grades TK–2 are given the Developmental Gesell Observation to better understand a child’s growth and developmental age.

Trinity is a Christian School. We are thoroughgoing in our Christian faith, but we stand with arms wide open to the world, welcoming all truth as God's truth. We are shaped by our namesake, the Trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

When we first looked into Trinity, we were sticker shocked and worried about how we could feasibility afford schooling. Without even giving Trinity a try, we looked into other options and moved on. We still regret that decision to this day wish we inquired sooner. Eventually, we learned our lesson and applied for our children. The flexible tuition program makes it all possible.”
