Summer Camp Assistant
Key Information
- Reports to: Director of After-School and Camp Programs
- Status: Temporary Full-Time
- Duration: 7 weeks (when summer camp is in session June 9- July 25, 2025)
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Serving as a role model of Christian faith and action; interacting with students, families and staff in a manner consistent with biblical values
- Supervise and care for children enrolled in summer camp
- Assisting the program director with daily preparation, instruction, and clean-up of materials and activities
- Help plan and execute safe and fun activities for the summer camp children while implementing the school’s mission
- Maintaining order and discipline in a group of assigned children
- Maintaining a clean and orderly environment
- Consistently monitor the safety and well-being of students
- Carrying out summer camp assistant duties in a prompt and reasonable manner when necessary, as agreed upon with the program director
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are implemented
- Interacting with children in ways appropriate to child growth and development
- Communicate with the Director of Summer Camp if questions or issues arise
- Prevents accidents through supervision and planning
- Enforce all Trinity School policies
Qualifications
- Experience in caring for elementary students
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma
- Enjoyment of children
- Understanding of and appreciation for Trinity’s distinct mission and culture
- Personal Christian faith and subscription to Trinity’s doctrinal statement
