Summer Camp Assistant


Key Information

  • Duration: 6 weeks (June 10-July 26, 2024 with the exception of June 19 and July 1-5)

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Serving as a role model of Christian faith and action; interacting with students, families and staff in a manner consistent with biblical values
  • Supervise and care for children enrolled in summer camp
  • Assisting the program director with daily preparation, instruction, and clean-up of materials and activities
  • Help plan and execute safe and fun activities for the summer camp children while implementing the school’s mission
  • Maintaining order and discipline in a group of assigned children
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly environment
  • Consistently monitor the safety and well-being of students
  • Carrying out summer camp assistant duties in a prompt and reasonable manner when necessary, as agreed upon with the program director
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are implemented
  • Interacting with children in ways appropriate to child growth and development
  • Communicate with the Director of Summer Camp if questions or issues arise
  • Prevents accidents through supervision and planning
  • Enforce all Trinity School policies


Qualifications

  • Experience in caring for elementary students
  • 18 years of age or older
  • At least one year of college
  • Enjoyment of children
  • Understanding of and appreciation for Trinity’s distinct mission and culture
  • Personal Christian faith and subscription to Trinity’s doctrinal statement
