Sophie has been on Trinity’s staff since 2012, but has been an active and key volunteer parent for much longer, serving as the president of the Trinity Parent Organization and heading up Trinity’s Hot Lunch program.

Sophie earned an MA in history from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and served as a project manager in the Caring Services Department of C.A.R.E. (Christian Action Research and Education) in London, England. She oversaw three caring services projects involving over 500 volunteers from across the UK. Sophie also was a research officer in the Conservative Research Department and worked the home affairs desk, handling research, speechwriting, and public relations for Tory MPs and special advisers.

Sophie’s son Robert graduated from Trinity in 2015 and was a member of the UNC rowing team. Her daughter Annabel '18 competes on the cross-country and track teams at Gordon College. Sophie and her husband Al have spent hours on the sidelines and in the stands at Trinity athletic events, cheering on our Trinity Lions.
